ACCOYA®
Dallas Millwork, Inc. is a “stocking” southeastern
distributor for Accoya®. Accoya® is a rapidly
growing “Green” product in the United States.
Sourced from sustainable forests, and using
non-toxic agents to modify the timber to the core,
Accoya® has become a world leader in high
technology, chemically modified wood. As a result,
Accoya® is a dimensionally stable and durable
material that performs on par with the most durable
tropical hardwoods. Accoya® carries either a 25 year
in ground/freshwater warranty, or 50 year above
ground warranty against fungal decay and rot. This
means: windows and doors that operate year round
without swelling, and coatings that last 3 times
longer, all from a FSC certified, 100% recyclable,
UV resistant, long lasting, sustainable lumber.
PermaSelect® Primed Door Jamb
PermaSelect® Millwork products door jamb is a
Wolmanized® L3 Outdoor® pressure treated “solid”
pine wood. The high solids primed door jamb carries
a Limited Lifetime warranty against rot, insect
infestation, mold, mildew and moisture penetration.
Coming from responsibly managed new pine forests,
the PermaSelect® no-rot door jamb is listed in the
GreenSpec® Directory of environmentally safe
preferred products. Comparing to the inferior,
finger-jointed, bottom spliced, or weak composite
types, there is no doubt the addition of the
PermaSelect® door jamb will provide Dallas Millwork
with the leading edge in the custom millwork market.
PermaSelect® jambs will be made available at the
first of the year, with jamb widths up to 6-9/16”.
“Single Lever Shootbolt System” for Passive
Panels from Truth Hardware
Dallas Millwork is proud to introduce our newest
addition of Truth hardware, a Single Lever Shootbolt
System for double door units. The nuisance of
multiple levers to flip, and the problematic
distance to the upper bolt, will be a distant
memory. Our new single lever, multi-throw system
will replace our existing head and footbolt system.
The high quality and smooth action Truth mechanism
will be available in a stainless steel or an ORB
faceplate. The 7mm zinc and yellow dichromate plated
carbon steel rods and 9mm stainless steel and
directional tips give this system the strength
needed to support doors up to 121” tall. The Single
Shootbolt System will be made available at the
beginning of the year.
Multi-Point Window Hardware from Truth Hardware
Dallas Millwork is introducing a new Truth
multi-point window hardware for our casement window
line. The hardware features an even single action
mechanism with a classic handle. French casement
applications will receive dual operating handle
sets. The single integrated “lock bar” or
extensions, feature a quick release slide for ease
of installation, through the common 16mm
Euro-groove. All components are zinc and yellow
dichromate plated carbon steel, which has been
tested to a 500 hour minimum constant salt spray
testing.
Encore Series Crank Casement Window Hardware
Dallas Millwork strives to improve our products year
after year. This year our crank casement has
undergone an overhaul, from window components to
hardware type. The 1” overall (net ¾” at the
exterior) single rabbet window jamb now allows for a
needed water dam. The interior filler strips have
been slightly modified to help eliminate the
unsightly weatherstrip from the interior. In
addition, screen channels and rails have changed to
give the maximum visual glass opening. Our original
Truth operator has been upgraded to Truth’s new
streamlined Encore® series operator with the
snap-fit Tango® folding handle and cover, which
allows for 33% less effort to operate from our
previous version. Also, our low profile sash lock
has been upgraded with a tandem feature that allows
both sash locks to be secured simultaneously. The
packaged upgrades have resulted in a truly
beautiful, functional, and easy to operate casement
window. |
